# Tile Bloom

**Turn the tiles · Let them bloom**

A calm rotation puzzle made from Vietnamese *gạch bông* cement tiles. One tap turns a tile; four matching corners make a flower bloom.

- [Play in your browser](https://nguyenvanlamm.github.io/tile-bloom-site/play/): Chapter I and the daily tile, free.
- App Store: coming soon. Google Play: coming soon.
- Platforms: iPhone and iPad (iOS 15+), Android, and web browsers.

## How it plays: turn, match, bloom

1. **Turn.** Tap a tile to turn it 90° clockwise. Long-press or right-click turns it back.
2. **Match.** Every corner holds a quarter of a flower. Where corners meet, all of them must match.
3. **Bloom.** Then a flower blooms there. Bloom every meeting point to finish the floor; fewer moves earn more stars, three at or under par.

Six motifs, each with its own colour and its own shape, so a match never depends on colour alone: disc (terracotta), diamond (indigo), four-petal flower (ochre), eight-point star (jade), ring (plum) and square (ink).

Tools of the floor: Undo; three hints per floor (a hint turns one tile right and pins it, and lowers the best you can earn by one star); Restart. Unfinished floors save themselves.

## Seven rooms, porch to rooftop

84 levels in seven chapters, the rooms of a Vietnamese tube house. Boards grow from 2×2 to 7×8, and each room has its own colours.

| | Room | Levels | |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | The Porch | 1–12 | Your first tiles — learn how they fit. |
| II | The Living Room | 13–24 | Bigger floors, more patterns. |
| III | The Courtyard | 25–36 | Grand courtyards for steady hands. |
| IV | The Kitchen | 37–48 | All six motifs, warm and busy. |
| V | The Stairwell | 49–60 | Long, narrow flights of tile. |
| VI | The Balcony | 61–72 | Open floors, fewer colours to go by. |
| VII | The Rooftop | 73–84 | The widest floors, under the sky. |

Chapter I is free and plays in your browser. One in-app purchase opens every chapter after it, for good.

## The daily tile

One new floor every day, the same for everyone. The board grows through the week: Monday 4×4, Tuesday and Wednesday 5×5, Thursday and Friday 6×6, Saturday and Sunday 7×7. Keep a day streak, and share a plain-text result.
